I'm just wondering, is anyone else watching A History Of Scotland on BBC1? I've just finished watching the 2nd episode and I have to say I've found it terrific.
The first episode starts with Roman invasions, Viking raiders through to King McAlpine and on to his grandson King Constantine and the fusion of the Gaelic & Pictish races of Scotland to form the Kingdom of Alba, the Northern Alliance with the Vikings & Iceland, and then inevitably the repulsion of the first English invasion in 987.
Thats alot to cram in to 60 minutes! it is presented by
Neil Olliver who does a very good job of things.
You can catch up with the first two episodes on
BBC iPlayer - just search A History Of Scotland
